Scientists say that a star goes super nova in our galaxy roughly every 26 years. They can see how many have gone super nova by the remnants left. They have counted the past super novas and have found there have been approximately 250 in the life of our galaxy. 26 years x 250 = 6,500 years - This is the approximate age of the Earth as written in the Bible.

Wow that's an expensive way to get a passport. I renewed mine a few months ago and we don't have fingerprints in them yet.

A busy few days coming up for me. My granddaughter is visiting today and staying overnight and my daughter and her partner are coming on Saturday for the night. Not much play time for me but I'll try and drop in while they're still snoring or something.

Very dull and chilly out there today.

I'm off to the hossy this morning for a cat scan. Instead of being on here I should already be in the shower. Just a couple more minutes though to allow myself to wake up properly.

I did ask them at the Consulate if they where getting a finger printing machine in Perth but the lady couldn't say, although she fully agreed with me that we here in the west are pulling the short straw.

Hope the results of the cat scan are good Sandy Smile

We've had some nasty weather here the last 2 days and lots of flooding everywhere, including in my area. I was ok and no flood damage in my house thank goodness but some of the roads I had to travel where not so good or safe, but I made it home in one piece.

After the busy morning I had yesterday I shouted myself to a full body massage and my friend Zoe (masseuse) treated me with a free facial as well! Loved it and I felt so relaxed. Zoe wants me to come back on Wednesday for a short low back massage (for free) just to keep on top of it all so I'm going to hold her to that one lol.
And as if the massage wasn't nice enough already, Zoe ended up cooking me dinner! Another friend showed up and we had a lovely dinner time.

I should be wrapping up a pressie and have a shower and do a little bit of shopping but I honestly can't be bothered with any of it! Would rather just stay in my pj's.

I have never been able to have a massage by way of a treat because I couldn't bear a stranger touching me like that. I would feel wierd with it all. It must be very relaxing though. It's always nice to have a meal cooked for us though. Lucky you.

So lucky too that the water didn't reach your home. I so pity the poor buggers that get water damage like that.

The visit to the hospital was quite quick so I got to my Sisters almost an hour before I thought I would. Barbara wasn't in when I got there but I knew she would only have walked around to get her daily newspaper, so I started walking slowly to meet her on the way back. When I found her we were only a few steps away from Beverley and Teds house so we dropped in there for a cup of tea before going back to hers.

Ted picked me up from Barbs at 5.30pm to bring me home. I'd already arranged for Jess to drop me off on the way back from hossy and for Ted to collect and bring me home when I was ready.

Today I will be just playing on the comp and watching tele.

Sandy it is very relaxing to get a massage and I love getting them. When its done by an experienced masseuse it doesn't feel weird at all.
Having friends in the medical and remedial healing field is a nice thing too Smile

Hello on this dark, 5am, Sunday morning Smile Fell asleep early so I'm up early again.

I stayed in my pj's yesterday hahahaha so will have to get the wrapping up of pressie and some small shopping done sometime today.

I'm like you Sandy. I've never had one because I think it would feel weird. I'm sure it's very relaxing really but I'm picky about who touches me.

Second lot of visitors have just left so I've finally got some peace and quiet. Bliss! It's lovely to see them but lovely to see them go too.

It's very chilly with a strong wind. Mostly dry but I don't plan on venturing out. Time to catch up on a few shows I've missed over the last few days.

Weird women you two LOLOLOL. No seriously though, there are a lot of people who feel that way.

Look at it this way ... if you have to have Physiotherapy, do you think it's weird that this person touches you while helping you? I guess it depends on the depth of physio if you don't like people touching you.

Happy show watching Wendy Smile

I'm running late now so I'm out of here ....

I've never had physio so I don't know the answer to that. lol

Chilly, dreary with strong winds this morning. Enjoyed a few shows but back to the grindstone today. Cleaning upstairs if I ever get moving. Lunch with family later though and hopefully getting my hair cut and coloured too.

I have had physio on my back and another time on my shoulder and I felt ok with that. Probably because it was medical I suppose. But I can't imagine me being massaged for pleasure, lol.

Cold, windy and sunny here today.

Bed changing today and give my room a good hoover. At the moment my floor is full of odd socks, bits of sweet wrappers and a couple of empty crisp packets. All of that stolen by Louie from the girls' rooms and dragged into mine as his contraband. He didn't even make it as far as his bed/bag with that lot. I keep telling them to make their rooms dog proof by not leaving things laying around, but I might as well talk to a brick wall.

Ahh but see the massage I had was not for pleasure; it was for my sore back. The fact that I enjoy a massage was just a bonus I guess lol. But overall that massage was just to help ease the soreness and tight muscles.

Anyway ..... each to their own Smile

I'm tired as I sit here tonight so not sure how much I will get done on the things I had planned.

Louie is a kleptomaniac. lol

Nothing exciting happening here. Cleaning downstairs this morning and visiting my brother after lunch. My hair is done so I can see where I'm going again and the white is less obvious. lol

Another miserably dull morning with a very strong and chilly wind.

Funnily enough my Katie was also a kleptomaniac. Only she used to hide her hoard behind the sofa. She even stole my Sisters ring off the bed side table when Babs stayed over night. But she also used to steal Aimees soft toys and hide them.

The other thing I had to put up with her was, every night when I got into bed she used to go and collect every single one of her toys one by one and get them on the bed with us. At least Louie only brings his rat to bed with us.

So bloody cold again today. Now I'm feeling a lot better I am desperate to get out and about a bit. But who wants to go wandering in this freezing cold.

And we've had 2 humid days here with overcast and temperatures of around 32C.

I had my hair cut a few weeks ago and I know next time I go I will need colour too hahahaha.

The only time one of mine collected toys like that was before she was spayed and she had a phantom pregnancy. We had to delay having her spayed because she was producing milk and thought the toys were her puppies.

Weird weather here. Sunny this morning and the wind has dropped but rain is on the way this afternoon. It's much milder though. Mid 40s is forecast.

My Katie also had 2 phantom preggies. I had her spayed after the 2nd one.

I've been playing on here this morning with the star/post feature. Trying to think of what to call them all was hard. I decided on precious gems in the end.

Bloody Doctor has just sent me a text asking me to make an appointment for a medication reveiw. Bloody stupid because now the only medication I am on is the normal ones that everyone of my age are on and after having a heart attack. Beta Blockers, Asprin, Simvastatin and Omeprozole. I can't come off of any of them. I'm on them all for the rest of my life so why sodding bother to ask me in for a review. God, stupidity really pisses me off.

Oh but they might have to check Sandy and see if the dosage can be lowered perhaps. And with it being a new doctor as well this actually does makes sense to me.

Good morning Smile still dark and very early here.

It's because it's a new Doctor. They can't lower the dosage. Sarah reckons that most Doctors do it every 6 months unless you have already visited them in that time.

Yeah that makes sense. We get meds reviews every 6 months here too now.

Morning everyone Smile

I have a thyroid med I have to take and they also check every 6 months to see what I need. Although I don't take much. I have the lowest dose and I break it in half.

And the massage, lol. I would freak out, Martha! I also don't like being touched by strangers, or much of anyone. I don't even like to go to get a hair cut as then they have to touch me. Since I just have straight long hair, I just cut my own now.

I ride the streetcar to class everyday and I hate that too. When I go it is early and all the teen rug rats are there. So it is often full. I like a space around me with no one else, hahaha. That is not really possible then. I squash myself into a corner if possible. I like people, I just don't like them in my space hahahah.

They do the six month reviews here too Sandy. My sister is always complaining about them because her meds can't be changed either.

That cracked me up Becky. lol I'm like you. I like my personal space even in a room full of people I like let alone with strangers. I'm lucky my sister is a hairdresser and I can live with her touching my hair.

Well, Martha matie, It looks as if you are the odd one out, lol.

I also hate the hairdressers. I especially hate them washing my hair. I often just wash my hair and leave it wet just before I go there and tell them they can spray it if they want it any wetter.

I've been buggering around with the coding on here today and almost forgot to do the postings on all the sites.

Wow I really am the odd one out Smile I love getting my hair done and my hairdresser is a lovely lady who always gives me an Indian head massage and it just so nice and relaxing. I do the same though and wash my hair before I go in. Not because I don't want them to wash it but because it's cheaper for me to do myself lol.

I had all intentions of being online last night and fiddle with the codes some more but i got called out and by the time I got home it was too late and I needed my sleep.

Busy morning for me and this afternoon I'm picking up Natasja's dog Toby and he's coming for an overnight stay Smile

I'm working up the enthusiasm to go grocery shopping. It's a miserable grey morning after overnight rain. At least it's milder I suppose but it's not very cheery. I'd rather have sun and frost. After that I have no plans for the day which suits me fine since I'm feeling very sluggish.

Morning Smile

You know often I see hurt looks from people when I back away...so I try not to but cannot seem to help it. The funny thing is I am not bothered by them. It is becasue I am bothered by myself. I am extremely self-conscious and am always worried something is "wrong" or "off". Like...what if my breath stinks or there is something stuck on me etc. Silly stuff like that. Also if they hug me I am only thinking...oh no what if they feel some fat or something LOL.

I went on a course to learn how to do an Indian head massage several years ago. As you know it's not really just the head but also the face, neck and shoulders. It was good fun to learn.

My Aimee is like that Zona. She backs away from people that she doesn't know well that want to hug. She says she just hates people in her personal space. She has a wider personal space than most of us.

Today I have to finish cleaning up the mess in my room, along with giving it a good old dust and polish, and change my bedding. I suppose I will also have to get the hoover out.

Oh, also as I write this I have just remembered I must also do some washing.

We have a lovely sunny day, and quite mild for the time of year. I want to get the dog out for a walk before it all changes as it's bound to do.
