I've just spent 5 hours tidying and sorting out my stationery cabinet.  Everything now has it's own clearly labelled box so that I can put my hands on it immediately, and now I might also have room in there for a little more.

I told myself I would sort out the boxes today that I have stuffed under my bed.  It's now 8pm and I still haven't got under there, lol.  Plenty of time to do it tomorrow though.

Just looking at the labeled boxes gives me the idea to get some boxes myself and sort out all my stationary items.

I have mine scattered between 4 drawers and a cupboard ... no wonder I can't find anything lol.

You know I used to be so organised but the last couple of years I have become so lazy.

It's the sort of thing that one just keeps putting off and keeps putting off.

I love the see through plastic boxes though for all the fiddly bits like batteries, staples and so on.   One can see at a glance what one is looking for.

I still have a drawer in my sideboard for things I use on a daily basis like my hole punch, stapler, cutting board and so on.

Although I'm now wondering if I might be able to also put the things from the drawer into an open box in the cupboard and thereby freeing up the drawer for something else.

Trouble is my guillotine and laminator are taking up a whole shelf by themselves.

Not only that Sandy but those items are heavier so best to keep them on a shelf anyway.

Look how clean and fancy your stationary cupboard is!
I wish you could come to my house and organize.
I have this type of item in several different spots
and not so tidy looking lately.

Now I just have to keep it tidy.

I've always been pretty good at keeping things of the same genre in the same place - a place for everything and everything in it's place. My problem has been collecting too much of something, allowing it to spill over.

I'm shocking for holding on to something "in case it comes in handy". Such as small boxes or biscuit tins, or an old sheet, in case I might want to use the material. And I never do use these things. I'm a lot better now at not collecting so much since living in a rabbit hutch as these little studio flats are that I'm about to move back into.
