A couple of years ago Sarah brought me back from one of her visits abroad a cotton bed throw.  I have never found a use for it because of it's colouring, so it has remained in it's bag since then.

The other day I thought "I wonder if that bed throw will be big enough to have as a hanging between the bed and living room areas"  So I got up and down using my nest of tables as a step ladder to measure both the space and then the spread and after sewing some curtain tape along the top I was able to hang it.  It can pull to one side just as a curtain would do.  It's worked out perfectly I think.

Although the colours of it at the moment don't fit in with the rest of the room, as I will eventually be ending up with a nautral and red colour scheme I had to start somewhere with making the change from my mauves and lilacs to neutrals and reds.

That's a great use for it Sandy and it will give you the incentive to carry on with changes to other things.

What is the best about it is, that it was all free. Charlie gave me the pole and fitted it for me, and the spread was a pressie. All I had to pay out for was the tape to sew on across the top and the rings to hold it up with.

Wouldn't it be great if I could do the rest of the place so cheaply, lol.

What a great idea to use that as a curtain Sandy. Looks great too and breaks to boring plain wall that's for sure!

Yeah, I'm really pleased with it. It looks much better than the nets I had hanging there.

Cheap is always good. Those poles are getting expensive so a free one is great.

Thanks Elaine. Now I can't wait to get my new sofas.

Yup Wendy. We can't beat free, lol.
