Hi Everyone.

How awesome to try something new, Sandy!

I am getting over a bad chest cold.
My husband made homemade turkey soup
with some of the Thanksgiving left-over turkey.
Mostly resting and trying to sleep today.
Just wanted to say hello.  :0)

Have a great rest of the day, Everyone.

I'm popping to see if Sandy posted pics yet of her new hair-do. I feeling tired pretty early and will be going to bed any second.  I stayed up late last night making bread and dinner rolls for the freezer.
Does anyone have an issue with the page size here? For me the text is normal size but the page is so stretched that I have to scroll back and forth. Or zoom out so that I get the whole page but then the text gets too small. hmmm

That sounds like it was a lag on forumotion then Elaine.

Woohoo ... you're not going to believe this but after chatting with Sandy about a drop down table, not that long ago, I now have one! bounce
I had put a picture of a drop down table on my vision board and forgot I even did that with all the work with the AC and palm trees etc.
So this morning as I was checking to see if Catherine had landed in NY I got a notification of a FB group I belong to that someone had posted a for sale item. And low and behold this lady was selling her antique drop down table! Laughing
I immediately typed in sold hahahahaha and when she got in touch with me she said she didn't live that far away from me and for $10 petrol money she was willing to deliver it.

So $110 later I now have a table again ... one that fits in my unit/living room and I can extend for when my kids come over .... woohoo.

Get well soon @Kerri

Yeah, that happens as the page is loading @Elaine. Most time one doesn't notice it if the page loads as it should, but if your browser lags when loading the page fully then you see it happening. If there was no sidebar or no large images in the posts then that wouldn't happen. It's the time needed to allow those to load that does it.

Wow Martha. I've just seen that table on your Facebook page. It's a beauty. I love it.

It's early here at the moment and I have just got up and sitting here still in my nightie so will take the photo shortly. I need a new avatar anyway, so will use that when I've done it.

I hope you feel better soon Kerri. Turkey soup sounds just the thing to help with that.

The table sounds great Martha and getting it delivered is a big bonus.

Not sure about mauve hair but I'll reserve judgment. lol You're braver than I am Sandy.

My browser is fast but the page still jumps around a bit before it loads everything.

Went to visit my SIL in hospital yesterday. She was having an ultra sound when I arrived. She has to have a colonoscopy today too. Lovely. If they don't find anything ominous they may let her out tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Visiting my brother later but just cleaning downstairs before then. The rain has stopped and the sun has come out but it's freezing!

Fingers crossed for your SiL Wendy.

I hope I've taken this photo properly. For some reason the iphone will flip the selfie photos once they are uploaded on the computer, so would appreciate it if you tell me if you see it any other way than right side up.

I very much like the mauve although we didn't leave the dye on very long as it was the first time of doing it and had no way to know how it would turn out.  Next time I will leave on longer.  Although next time I might go blue or even red.

Ann reckons it really shows up the colour of my eyes too.

I'm so pleased I was brave enough to do it. It's a wash hair, rub it in, leave it and then rinse. So easy to use by yourself that I will continue to use it. The best part is that there is no visit to a hairdresser and it's so bloody cheap. One Tube at £5 lasts 6 applications.

WoW Sandy that colour is so fun! I was picturing darker but definitely like this tone. It is a perfect colour to bring out your eyes ♥️ Now I'm considering doing the same, but probably the dip method. Just the ends and about half way up. I'll have to look into how to do that properly. I'd love to try something different. I feel like I've been waiting so very long for my hair to be completely grey and am getting tired of how long it takes. There is still too much strawberry blonde. Maybe some temporary colour will feel good and get rid of this doldrums feeling I've had lately  Rolling Eyes

For that reason I always have blond foils put in my hair Elaine. I have no doubt that ones I go completely grey I will do something like this Smile Unless I go that beautiful white grey like my mum.

Pleased to hear you're feeling better Kerri.

Wendy hope your sister in law is doing well.

Morning all and it's an overcast kinda day here so I might get stuck in my gardens again as it's not too hot.

No news from my SIL so I'm guessing she hasn't  escaped yet. I did think she was being a bit optimistic.

Glad you're feeling a bit better Kerri.

I was picturing a bit darker and more dramatic Sandy. That actually looks good.

Another freezing cold day here. I'm staying home doing laundry and other boring chores.

I'm the same Martha, I was so hoping my hair would go white as the colour faded, but looking at how the top of my head is going now, I think I am going to end up a dusty grey.

Because it was the first time we only left the dye on 20 minutes instead of 30, which is why it's not a too dramatic mauve. Next time, now I know it can look ok, I will leave it on longer. But I'm so pleased that I have found something I can happily use while my natural hair does go grey all over. At the moment because it's in the between stages of grey and brown it was looking so tatty, which is why all the family kept telling me to dye it.

My girls often dip the ends of their hair with colour Elaine and it does look good. You might find it fun to try it. As long as you use the wash in and wash out, what have you got to lose?

I'm off this afternoon to visit my Sister Barbara. I'm sure Beverley will pop in to her Mum's at the same time, so I will be able to see her without actually visiting her, her cats, and her fleas, lol. My Nephew, Gary, is also down here from London for a few days, so I will be able to see him too.

It is getting rather cold now Wendy isn't it. Time to start wrapping up really warm me thinks.

We've had a few cooler days here and they where great to get some house work done without breaking out a sweat lol.

It's a sunny morning so I better get of my behind and get stuck in the gardens because this weekend promises to be a hot one temp wise.

Another hard frost here. I've done the bedding, put the wheely out and done some ironing and washed dishes. I've earned a coffee and a sit down while I decide what's next on the list. I do need to wait in until the postman has been. Hopefully a package is going to arrive. Of course it probably won't. It will arrive as soon as I go grocery shopping in the morning I bet.

It's the last day of November so I suppose I should start thinking about Christmas cards and presents and stuff.

PostSubject: Re: November Chit Chat   30/11/17, 10:33 am

I have absolutely no housework to do today. If it wasn't so bloody cold I would take a stroll through the second hand shops here. I want to look out for some bedding for using as material for sewing. I still might do that if I feel like it once the day warms up a bit. It's still quite early.

I've heard from Harveys that my sofas are ready for delivery and I have arranged for them to come next Thursday.

I'm making Christmas shopping easier this year by buying them each a really big pressie of things they can't really afford to treat themselves to instead of several smaller pressies each as I usually do. I'm then making a lucky dip box of presents that would suit anyone and they can choose from that box too. A bit like not knowing what you will get in a Christmas Cracker. I've also arranged a present giving game that we can play which is similar to Secret Santa but not whereby you buy a present for a specific person.

I haven't been able to get around the shops for the fun of looking and buying things for a couple of years now, and because I've had to shop on line recently it's taken the joy out of trying to think of things to give and turned it into a chore, so this way I'm able to give everyone what I know they want and I don't have the worry of scouring the web. It also makes for a lot less wrapping, lol, which I bloody hate.

I stopped doing xmas cards a few years ago because most are on the internet now and from my family overseas, the only one sending a card is my eldest brother.

Natasja and her partner have his dad + partner coming over from the UK for a few weeks over xmas/ny.
Catherine and her partner are in the USA for 4 weeks and come back on the 23rd of Dec.
Jeremy and his partner might need to move house in January.
And I have spend my money on myself this year.
So we are all very happy not to have to go looking and pay for any pressies lol.

Sounds like you two have it all sorted. lol My kids and grandkids aren't too bad because my daughter will shop for them for me. It's the only way they get anything from me these days. My stumbling block has always been mum and her elderly friend. This year just one 93 year old to come up with something for. Always a tough one. A small flat with no room for more stuff and getting too old for the outings we used to buy for them both.

Grocery shop is done. Hovering around 1C out there at the moment. Supposed to warm up a few degrees over the weekend they reckon. I hope they're right.

I want to buy Charlie a little something because he's been so good to me, but I honestly don't know him well enough to choose something for him. I know he doesn't drink spirits so a bottle of booze is out. Neither does he smoke.

Perhaps a gift card from a tool shop or maintenance type shops for Charlie? You know what I mean Sandy; like a handyman shop.

Yes I think this is the first time Andy's dad is coming to Australia Sandy.

Nah he'll be fine as they have traveled to Bali a few times and over in Bali it can be very humid, depending on the time of year.
Natasja met them in Bali ..or I should say got introduced to them in Bali last year Smile
