Hello everyone, hope your Monday or Tuesday is going well.

I'm done washing the sheets, and need to make up the bed. I don't know why I always feel happy when that's done. It's not like it's so hard. Laughing I need to work out at the gym and decide what to have for supper.

Ok, one of the rules aren't being enforced as I sit here. Bed still unmade and Louie is sound asleep in it still. But we are doing well with no puppy pads, along with cutting down on the treats a bit. So 2 out of 3 so far isn't bad. He hasn't used a puppy pad at all for 2 days, even though one has been down both nights. But then it's not as if the rain we have had has been torrential, so it hasn't hurt him (or me) to go outside.

I loath changing the bedding, it's a pain in the rear. I also hate washing the sheets as we can't hang out of doors here, so I have to throw them over a door overnight to dry.

I mentioned to Charlie the other day that one of the drawbacks here is that they don't provide an outdoor washing lines area. I even mentioned where would be a perfect place here to put one behind maybe a tall wicker fence. He was very thoughtful as I was talking about it, so I'm wondering if he might take it back to the office and mention it to them.

No idea what the weather is going to be like today as it's still early. At the moment it's cold and very dull, but at least dry.

Making the bed again is hard! lol I always have a wrestling match getting my duvet in its cover. The cat likes to "help" which makes it even harder.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching Sandy retrain Louie. Best of luck with the battle of the wills. You've heard the saying about making a rod for your own back.

It rained most of yesterday and today has started out the same. Off to my brother's this afternoon but otherwise just pottering through some chores.

Hello Everyone,
I have been busy. I just have a few more rooms to deep clean and then I need to pack -- I tomorrow we are travelling over the mountains, through the woods -- to my parent's house, we go. Celebrating Thanksgiving this year with all my siblings and their families.

Anyway, I will not be back on until Monday. See you then. Hopefully, I will get on more but I have so much to do to prepare for Christmas so I will see.

Hi Sandy and everyone -- hope you are having a great day! Hows the new place Sandy?

Have a lovely Thanks Giving with your family Beckea Smile and safe travels!

It's windy and nippy this morning and even my walk didn't warm me up. Now having a cuppa while browsing a few boards before hopping in the shower.

Aldi's new brochure has a vacuum cleaner in it for $50 ... hmm I do need a new one as my old one broke and all I'm using at the moment is my upright cordless. It's ok but it doesn't have the extra things such as for the corners or furniture etc so I might just go and grab that vacuum today.

That does sound like a bargain Martha if you're not looking for a powerful, all singing, all dancing one.

Have a great time with your family Becky.

Pouring with rain again here. I have a few errands to run but looking outside I don't feel inclined to go and do them. I'm getting so lazy I'll probably end up leaving them until tomorrow. I have to go out then anyway because I have an appointment at the doc's for my injection. Might as well do all the running around in one go.

We don't get all singing and all dancing vacuums over here anymore. The EU have forced us to have engines now higher than 900watts and they are going to lower that in a couple of years to 700 watts. We will soon be forced to have vacuums that don't pick up anything. I have terrible trouble getting my new one (900w) to pick up Louies hairs, and I am on my hands and knees also picking up tiny bits the vacuum wont touch.

I hope that is one rule that they might reverse when we totally Brexit, although I can't see them doing that as then they will have the "green" twats on their back.

That one from Aldi is a bargin Martha.

I'm still getting it as I want it @Beckea but getting there. Have a great Thanksgiving.

So far so good with Louie's retraining. It's the confusion from him I have to laugh at when I don't jump up immediately anymore to give him a treat just because he is asking for one. He's handling not getting back in my bed early mornings, and also the having to go out to pee in the high winds although he is still making a crazy dash back indoors the moment he has finished his business. We are still managing to get his walks in though later in the day once the wind has died down or the rain has stopped.

I read yesterday though, that dogs pick up not only our emotions but also our attitude. So if they feel that you don't want to go out then they don't want to go out. Although I don't see how that works because even when I really want to get out for a walk and fresh air he is still a bugger and drags his heels when I pick up his lead. This is the first dog I have ever known that doesn't get excited about leaving the house. I've tried everything to make it fun.

It's not a nice day today, so after doing a bit of washing up, I'm going to have a play at making some fun pages for my A5 Filofax.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends.

The rain got even worse here last night with very strong winds. My internet went down just as I was trying to do the last few things online before shutting down. Rubbish timing but it seems fine this morning. I think it either got blown away or floated away last night.

Off to the doc's for an injection shortly and then visiting an elderly friend for a while.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it.

I've spent most of today playing with my Filofax bits. Creating a dashboard, dividers, adding photos and such.

Apart from that I have done sod all except go for a short walk with Louie.

I was lucky just losing the internet. Flooding and power outages all around the county. Now the rain has stopped and the wind has died down a bit but we're in for at least a week of very cold days and nights.

Yesterday was a pain. You can't close current accounts online apparently so I had to take a load of paperwork into the bank to close mum's. Then I had to fill in a silly form and now I have to wait and see if they'll allow me to close it. If not they can stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm getting very fed up of bureaucrats. They can leave the accounts sitting dormant for the next 100 years as far as I'm concerned. There's nothing in either of them.

Grocery shopping awaits.

Oh Jeez! Are you still being messed about with paperwork?

If you have been flooded out then we are probably in for that now. We usually get your weather down here one or two days after you. It seems to make it's way down country. I can hear the wind out there at the moment, but no rain as yet.

I enjoyed yesterday just having a play, as I wanted and when I wanted. I spent a lot of the day on the web, printing stuff off and putting it all together. Louie wasn't happy I was on the computer for so many hours. He did get a walk though and some indoor playtime with me.

I'm still waiting for a text from the store to give me a date on my sofas delivery and Charlie has offered to take my dining table and large chair over to Sarah's as soon as I have a date.

Today I really should do some proper cleaning and not just a tidy up.

Closing the accounts was the final thing I hope. A couple of utility statements to wait for but the accounts are closed and the direct debits cancelled for those.

We actually got a bit of snow last night and early this morning. Only a coating here but I can see more on the hills behind my house.

My daughter and her partner are coming up today and staying overnight so I may not be around tomorrow.

We are in for a very cold winter me thinks. There are masses of berries on the trees/bushes, which is usually a good sign of a hard winter. It has also got very cold suddenly very early this year. I'm not surprised that it's cold enough up there for a bit of snow this early.

Aimee and Jessie unexpectantly turned up late in the evening last night. I wondered who it was buzzing my bell so late. They both appeared in pyjamas and dressing gowns and simple said "We were bored so thought we'd come for a visit". I'd love them to do that more often.

Aimee and I got into a discussion about the state of society today (we disagree a lot on that), and Jess spent most of the time lolling on the floor either making Louie go frantic with play or having her nose stuck to her phone. Those two girls are really good company.

Enjoy your time with your Daughter Wendy.

Today I have no plans.

I've had a whirlwind of cleaning activity and washed my net curtains and windows lol.

Yes that vacuum was a good deal Wendy and I went and bought it today. It's a 2000W one so very strong and just what I wanted.
Gheez Sandy if that's all you can get over there then I feel sorry for anyone who has indoor pets! 900W is nothing and a waste of time even plugging it in! My "shitty" cordless upright is 1000W.

Catching up on a few boards tonight and I'm trying to get some sort of proper routine back with my sleeping hours as they have been all over the place.

My old hoovers were always the 2000w. I've always had animals and of course Bill (my ex) was a buider and dragged all sorts of bits home on his boots.

We now have loads of stupid rules from the EU that we have to follow. Light bulbs, electric cycles, vacuums and the list goes on. But I bet even when out of the EU they wont change them back again.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Happy Sunday everyone!
I was planning to go to Costco with Roomie today but my back & sciatic are crazy hurting, so I wrote a list and he will go alone. I will need to go to Bulk Barn at some point today though. I guess today is Grey Cup game day. I don't remember what sport that is but Roomie is hoping for chicken wings and such. It's his tradition LOL So I'll get that in the oven and see what other finger foods I can come with. Nothing strenuous Smile Have a beautiful day!

Oh heck Elaine, sorry to hear about the pain you are in again.

Oh thanks for letting me know Marie. I wonder if those boards have just moved though. I'll send emails and chase them up before I remove them.

I'd have loved to see that top 100 grow more than it has. But it seems that it's not to be so. I might do a bit of advertising of it in and around the boards. I was sort of relying on people seeing the voting button on boards and then clicking to vote and then add their own.

I hope your weekend has been a good one too Joy.

Yesterday I typed up, printed out and stuck on my fridge a months worth of housework jobs (calendar style) to do each day. I thought it might give me an incentive to get off the comp and at least do some housework every single day and not keep saying "I'll do it tomorrow". Today it's worked out brilliantly.

Had a busy weekend as well as having my visitors. All sorts of unexpected things kept cropping up. I'm ready for a rest now. Unfortunately I really need to get stuck into some cleaning up here. No lunch with my sister today as she's on her way to the Dominican Republic as I type. My daughter goes on Thursday. Half their luck. It's wet and windy and only just above freezing here this morning. Oh well maybe it'll make me get moving so I warm up.

I really only "have" to hoover and wash my kitchen and bathroom floors today. Yesterday I did a lot including two cycles of washing. That's all now dried and just needs to be put away.

I've got a new friend coming this evening to dye my hair. I happened to remark how I just love the colour she has and I wish I was brave enough to do that. She has dyed hers a beautiful dark mauve. It's one of those that wash out after about 7 or 8 washes or so, and she has talked me in to doing mine. I don't know her really well yet, but she seems to be just my cup of tea. Actually she very much reminds me of Martha. Ann is her name.

As I said to her, if it looks awful on me, not to worry because it's winter and therefore I can wear a hat when venturing out until it washes out. I've told Aimee and Jess I'm dying my hair mauve, but they don't believe me I don't think.

I did intend to nip to the top of the road today to get some money out of the piggy bank machine, but it's raining so bloody hard out there, I'm not going out in that. Nor will Louie I don't think, so it will be pee pads for him today.
