I did speak with Sandy very briefly the other night Wendy and she is still having the winter's blues.
Oh and she said she pulled muscles in her chest or bruised a few ribs and has been resting.

Yeah I think I will have more of this weird sleeping pattern for a while yet as I'm always up late talking to my siblings regarding mum. She is now in the palliative care stage!

Elaine I posted another link on my board in the health section about sciatica nerve pain.

Thanks for the update Martha. Hopefully the weather will improve soon along with whatever damage Sandy has done to herself and she'll be able to get out and get some fresh air and sunshine. It has been a long, cold and dreary winter this year.

I'm sorry to hear about your mum. I hope that place is keeping her comfortable and pain free. It's tough when you're too far away to visit. Good to have siblings to keep in touch though.

Nothing planned here other than a visitor free weekend. I hope.

Thanks Wendy Smile Mum is doing well and has hardly any pain at the moment as they changed the pain meds and added some sort of ointment to the regime and it seems to be working.
They had an easter service with local music/singers and the 2 singers ended up being from our village. My sister tells me mum was so happy about that and she got to talk to the 2 ladies that sang and she really enjoyed herself.

Just ordered flowers to be send to mum on Wednesday so that they hopefully arrive on time as it's mum's birthday on Thursday. I used a UK company (Arena Flowers) as they are cheaper then Interflora and I was impressed by their service a few months back when I ordered flowers for my sister.

Fingers crossed you get to have a visitors free weekend Wendy.

I got the quiet weekend. Lovely that the singers were locals and your mum got to chat with them. I'm sure she'll love the flowers too. Interflora are very expensive. I don't know Arena but if you've used them before and been happy with them it's a good idea to use them again. I hope your mum has a lovely birthday and the pain management continues to work so well so she can really enjoy it.
