Yeah Wendy, I forgot to renew the .com so it expired today.  I will renew it later on today.  I have to learn all over again the innards of this board as I have forgotten it all.

I have a dental appointment later and you know me with dentists and going into a panic.  So can't think straight until that's over and done with later.  Jess is picking me up and keeping me company for that.

Yesterday we had our yearly food market in the village which is actually far more than just a food market, more like a big fete.  Singing and dancing, along with a double decker bus as a mobile pub and lots more.  I wasn't going to go even though it's just at the top of my road but Jess and Adam (her boyfriend) turned up on my door step unexpectedly and asked me to go up their with them.  It was good fun.

As for the trike.  I've only done one short journey on it so far which was along to the castle with Louie, had a nice walk in their woods and grounds and then back home again.  I managed that one easily.   It's wonderful to be able to walk now without the discomfort of the stent inside me, and not having to keep close to a loo all the time.  I will take a farther trip out on it next time.

While I was at the market/fete yesterday there was a large group of ladies Zumba dancing, and a lad handing out leaflets for it.  They do it twice a week at a church hall a very short bike ride from me so I think I might go along Thursday and take a look to see if I fancy joining them.  It looks gentle and fun to do.  I will of course have to get off my backside and summond up the energy and enthusiasm for getting out and about again for that.

Stormy weather here and the gale winds are whistling loudly! Took me ages to get the internet going this morning so that's a worry lol.

Oh lookie who the cat dragged in ... lol! Hello Sandy ... so good to see you back online!
Happy to hear you're feeling well again ...just start slow and don't burn yourself out too quick.

Gosh I haven't kept up with the news at all and didn't realise they have fires again in California Geru.
I turn the tv on and the same old crap is being shown, news wise, so I just turn it of again.
I'm so over Trump's on/off again affairs and don't want to hear another word about it.

Elaine ... best of luck and strength with the quitting smoking!

I've gone the other way and now have the ocasual ciggie again. Not a regular thing, just when I really feel like having one; then the rest is my ecig or vaper.

Hello!
It's great to see you both again ♥️
Sandy, I've been having dentist appointments nearly every week lately. Tomorrow I will get some fillings.
Martha, I did cheat and have a cigarette the other day. It was enough to get me through an especially tough craving.
Today was just another Monday. I tried to sleep in but couldn't, so hopefully, I will sleep better tonight.
The weather has been nice and cool. We are expecting a hot & dry summer though. I sure feel for all the Californians being evacuated by fires. There is only one in BC right now that is out of control, near the town of Lillooet. Something like 483 hectares has burned.  Crying or Very sad It's looking like we're in for more though.
I need to stay awake for a couple of hours so that I can grill steaks for Roomie's dinner when he comes home from work at midnight. It kind of grosses me out but he hates having to cook when he gets home. He likes heat & eat meals when he's tuckered out. He won some grass fed sirloin tip steaks & veggie kabobs at the legion pub on Sunday, so that's what he gets for dinner tonight. I just have to think about other things while I touch the dead stuff ... silent
Well, I think I'll have a shower before getting into bed to watch some shows.

I'm the same with doctors as you are with dentists Sandy. I have an appointment with mine tomorrow. First time in about 16 years. I'm dreading it. Glad you enjoyed the outing with Jess and Adam and happy to hear your hanging about round toilets period is over. lol That Zumba might be just what you need to kick start some enthusiasm. Worth a look at least.

Martha I hope the storms don't knock out your internet or worse still your power. I think most of us are fed up of hearing about Trump's antics not to mention the little rocket man. Two overgrown spoiled children playing with people's lives has ceased to be amusing.

Don't let the occasional lapse knock you off course with the smoking Elaine.

Must be absolutely horrifing to live near a fire area, or indeed any type of adverse weather area such as tornados etc.

I agree with just keeping at it Elaine even with set backs.  One has to do it the only way one can personally to get through it.  If the occasional ciggie helps then I wouldn't call it a set back but rather part of the treatment and don't beat yourself up about it.  Good luck with your Dental trip.

Poor you about the Doctors Wendy.  It's misery when one is so scared.  I made myself ill yesterday with it.  The only way I was able to actually walk into the Dentist yesterday was to tell myself that if I was able, as I was, to walk cold bloodedly into the hospital each time to go under general anesthetic, then surely I can sit for an hour in a dentist chair.

Must admit it was a horrible visit though.  I don't need any treatment, thank goodness, but I did, and do, need deep below the gum cleaning.  This they can only do in several visits because it has to be numbed.  The Dentist numbed the top right before I went into the Hygienist which was fine but she also did a lot of the bottom left with just a bit of numbing cream.  So I have booked 3 advanced visits for the rest.

I wont have to see the Dentist on those visits because the Hygienist herself can give me the injection.  Those visits I shouldn't be so freaked out about as I don't at all mind too much the quick injection.  It's all the painful poking and prodding below the gum that I had to go through with both of them where it wasn't numbed.

Jessie came with me yesterday and she will for the next visits too.  It's amazing how much that girl calms me for hospital and dental visits.

Now for a quick catch up of my family.

Jess, is now at college as well as still working at the holiday camp.  She is training to be a Nail Technician and is doing so well she has already been approached to work in a brand new salon opening by her Tutor at the end of the year.  I think the woman owns 5 or 6 all over the south of England.  Jess isn't sure at this moment about taking it as I think she has plans (if I have my way) to start by having her own mobile business.

Aimee is between jobs again (this last fortnight at least) but I never worry about her and her jobs as she can go out and find one, then start one, within 7 days if she want's to.  She has already been offered two to start next week, but she is thinking on those and has another interview for one this afternoon.  She always makes sure she has money saved before she leaves a job so she has plenty of time to shop around.

Sarah, a few months ago, left the Doctor's Surgery and went directly to working in a Veterinary Surgery which she seems to really love.

The girls are also in the process of trying to find a new house to rent.  Their land lady (Debbie) want's her flat back to live in herself so that she can sell the flat she is living in at present.  They have until September to find somewhere.

The trouble they have, is finding a place where all three bedrooms are large bedrooms, as at the moment they each have their own space with a communal living room.  Sarah and Martyn are living as a couple, as are Jessie and Adam.  So it's all more of a house share than as a Mother living with her girls if you know what I mean.

Seemingly they are looking at an ideal one Thursday, if it wont have already gone by then.  Fingers crossed for them on that one.

Me - Obviously I haven't done much that's worth a mention due to my insides buggering me around for so long up until this last couple of weeks.

I've spent hours watching scientific, archaeological and geological lectures seeking proof, that satisfies me, of Biblical truths, along with actual Bible study and ministerial lectures as well.  That's been great fun.  I gave up on going to Church, or Churches, as I simply can't find one that I feel really comfortable in.

I can't stand all this mass praying as well as the fact that the ministers seem to only concentrate on the Old Testament and the four gospels which are simply all to do with God's covenant with the Jews, and they never touch on the Christian (Gentiles) Apostle Paul.  I can't understand the fact that Church Ministers simply don't seem to understand the rightly division of the two Testaments,  1) between God + Jews + Law + Works and  2) God + Christians + Grace + Faith.

I also recently signed up for the month free subscribtion of Amazon Prime so that I could watch Lucifer and Outlander.

They were brilliant.  Outlander I knew the whole story of because I read her books as they were being published.  They did that as a series really well.  Lucifer I only knew of the bits that Aimee had told me about.  I loved it.

I now need to find something else to watch before Amazon starts taking money of me and I need to cancel the subscription.  I've got until the 22nd of this month.  As I have Sky and Netflix I don't really need Amazon as well.

Now that my stomach and insides are working again properly I have been able to start again having the meals from the dining hall here, so I'm going to post this, collect the clean dishes to take back and find my £3.50 in change for today's dinner.

Wow, glad to see this site come back to life ....  dance Sandy always has such interesting things to talk about   . Loved hearing  about the yearly food market in the village , and Zumba dancing , etc , they had that here in the Village a couple of years back , some University  students set up a booth and sang , danced and played and swayed, it looked like gentle fun indeed . I was standing there swaying gently to their music , and so were many others , when my  X daughter in law , gave me a dirty look and said " stop that "   affraid , what a fun spoiler she was .  Hope you will enjoy your self if you decide to join them Sandy .
And , I am all for that mobile business Jesse is thinking about bounce
Thanks for updating us on your family news , good luck with the house or flat searching , great to see all getting along together .
Ps. You sound more qualified on Religion then most Ministers I have met . Going to Church does not make you a better person , but as you say, one must feel comfortable in it . I am still looking !!

Elaine: I need Dentist work soon too, so I will be thinking of you when in that chair.  And I did get a chuckle when reading about you and touching that dead stuff lol you had to cook for Roomie 's dinner lol . us meat eaters never think about that . But !!!

Whisper; Dr appointment tomorrow ?  First one in 16 years?  congratulations , wow , you are doing well .

Martha; Hope that storm does not do any damage around your area . And Yes , Fires in California already , and BC too, Lilliooet seems to be the hottest spot in BC , and fires mostly start there first .  I don't watch much Tv News either, it just all upsets me , pain in the neck

So I best stop now , need get at my housework, and make a meatloaf etc .

Have a great day everyone .

Not that well Geru. I just stick my head in the sand and hope things will go away. lol

Sounds like it's all go for your family Sandy. Sarah's new job sounds great. Animals are so much better than people. Good to hear her and Martyn have worked out well too.

Best of luck to Jess if she decides to go mobile. My sister gave up her hair salon after twenty years and just does a few mobile these days as well as family of course. It's great that she takes you to the dentist and keeps you calm. I keep telling myself my phobia about doctors is totally irrational but it doesn't make any difference. I dread going all the same. A few incidents with ones I really disliked over the years didn't help. The one I found that I did actually like died a few months after I registered with him. Very sad. He was only 43.

Aimee does seem to be able to step out of one job and into another easily. It's a rare talent. I hope she finds one she loves.

Enjoy your meal. Can't beat that price can you?

Enjoy your day Geru. Yum meatloaf. Got any leftovers?

Sarah is the same with me Geru.  God forbid that I physically start showing my appreciation to music in the street with her.  Jess didn't care though when I started tapping my feet and swaying.

I dunno about knowing more than Ministers, lol, but I certainly have done a lot of studying this last couple of years.  I just find it all so fascinating.  Tracking down scientific and historical proof is such fun.  Now that we have the web and access to all sorts of academics papers and of course their youtube video lectures it's amazing how it's not just a case of going by faith alone.

One also doesn't have to plod through the understanding of the Bible alone anymore either, as there is so much Bible study from prominent Pastors and Ministers on line.  As long as one is careful who they listen to though.

I agree Wendy, it's so daft of us to get so scared, but then that's what a phobia is, an irrational fear.  Those that don't suffer from one (or more) simply can't understand why we freak out.  Most times though it does boil down to an experience/s from childhood.  Often one doesn't even actually remember the experience itself, and when someone asks you why you are so terrified, you really can't tell them because you don't know (remember).

My dinner was "ok" yesterday.  Not one of the better ones (Chicken in Mustard Sauce) but it did save me cooking for myself, and as you say, cheap for two courses.

Apart from taking my little shite for a walk today I have nothing on the adenda.  I do have my shopping delivery coming in about an hour or so, so I can't leave the flat anyway until that has arrived and packed away.

I actually fancy doing a bit of sewing.  I have a pale blue, second hand sheet tucked away that I could use to make something.  I don't know what yet though.  Maybe an ankle length petticoat to go under my long skirts for the winter.  An extra layer wouldn't hurt to keep me warm.  I think I also have some nice cotton lace somewhere I could put on the bottom.

I might make it in the 1700s style just for extra fun.  I wont need buttons, hooks or elastic if I do that as it's made with a draw string.  And even if I never wear it, it will be fun to make.  Mind you, if I really were making an authentic 1700s petticoat I would be doing it all by hand.  But sod that for a game of soldiers, my hand sewing days are over me thinks.

I've just had a new book I ordered come through the door and I can't for the life of me remember why I ordered it.  It must have been recommended to me. The Spirit World by Clarence Larkin.  I'm sure I will remember why when I start reading it.

Oh well, here we go.  My day starts now.

PS:  I remember now why I bought the book.  It's because it discusses a Gap Theory (previous chaotic earth), Angels, Demons and Satan's Fall.  It should be very interesting.

Hi everyone!
I absolutely love reading about all your lives. It's funny how everyone thinks their own life is boring but i read your stories and sit here smiling like an idiot  Laughing
I have issues with doctors too. When my spine first became a serious issue for me I saw several docs of all kinds. And they gave me pain meds of all kinds. And I had scans of all kinds. That went on for years, seeing a doc at least once a month until finally my GP called in the top osteo specialist in Canada. She told me there is absolutely nothing that can be done, it will continue to get worse and I should learn to live with it.  I'd been so hopeful and always suggesting treatments but my doctors always had said that those treatments wouldn't help me. But they kept me on a string by giving me more pain meds. So when the specialist told me to forget about any surgery or treatment , it hit me square in the face. I realized my predicament and decided to quit meds & doctors altogether. That was approximately 7 years ago. Since then I've seen one doctor when 5 years ago I was looking for a GP here in Vancouver, at the insistence of my friends. He was a complete idiot. I never went back LOL
My dentist, on the other hand, is amazing. I really like him. He loves to make me happy and his assistants are very nice women. Yesterday he fixed my smile. I am very happy about that! I smiled all the way home LOL

Just dropping in , to say hello . Has been such a nice day out , ran errands and enjoyed the sun a bit .

Elaine:  so happy to hear you smiled all the way home , glad it's just about over . I am not crazy about Dentist's either , but got used to them last year when I had lots of crowns put on etc etc .
What is wrong with your spine  ?  My son has ankylosin spondilitis ( not spelled right )  He eats a special diet something like you Elaine .   You don't have this do you ?  He takes no meds, just lots of exercises .

As for me, I have come down with a giant flare up of arthritis in my hip . i am forced to sleep in my lazy boy to start out with, until I can get my bed cooled down enough for me to get in it . The arthritis is the burning kind, all brought on by lack of sleep and stress I am told . Lets hope it does not last much longer  .  Doctors ?  well , not much they can do about arthritis
Sandy:.
I hate  sitting home and waiting for deliveries , yuk, but what else can you do right ?  Hope you enjoy the book you bought , and the sewing your planning , you are so adventurous .  I have not done any Bible studying for some time to be honest . I always try remember one thing , when Pontious Pilot asked Jesus where his Gods Kingdom was , he said , my Gods Kingdom is not of this world . And again he was asked , where does your God live then ?   Jesus said , my God lives within.    So it makes you think . the choice is ours , and church is really not needed for this  .

Ok, enough jibber jabber for now , have a great night everyone .

Hi Geru.
In my lower spine, I have osteoarthritis, completely degenerated discs & crumbling vertebrae. The nerves of the nerve root get pinched between bone-on-bone contact and so, I get sciatica too. In my upper spine, I have issues with misalignment, scoliosis and bulging disks because of what's going on with the lower vertebrae. The specialist said that any surgery would have a 50% chance of paralyzing me, which is not an option.
I feel for your son. That must be very uncomfortable.

Oh heck Elaine, it sounds as if your back is in a right mess. It's not at all nice having to live with all of that going on.

I have to admit that although I am petrified of the Dentist, I always feel so great after treatment knowing that my teeth are all clean and gums healthy for another run.

You are right about the church Geru, although God only lives within once one has been baptisted with the Holy Spirit.  The true church isn't a building.  We are the church.  Whenever two or more of us are gathered together in Jesus name, then that is the church.  Although for spiritual growth it is helpful to meet up and gather together if we can.  Small home gatherings for Bible study and discussion I think are great.  Although of course to be invited into one, must first have to attend an actual Church to meet people.

Conventional Churches still seem to incorporate some man made traditions which are totally un-necessary.  Once again it boils down to the the rightly division of the teachings for Jews when Jesus came for the Jews while he was on earth, and the teachings of the New Covenant of the instructions and mysteries that he left for Paul to teach the Gentiles after he ascended.  Yet 2/3rd of the New Testament are written by Paul.

If I thought there would be some interest I would create a forum on here for Bible discussion and teachings.

I haven't heard from Aimee yet as to how her last interview went or if she has decided to take either of the jobs she has already been offered.

I spent a while yesterday looking around at sites, patterns and videos of the 1700s and how they dressed.  The clothes they wore are so easy to make as all are simply put together using oblongs and squares of material with no shaping, until it comes to the stays, or what we would call the corset.  If I had more room and a dummy to display an outfit on I would certainly have a play at making a whole outfit.

Although they used mostly linen for all under garments, one could just as easily use any cotton material.  Even second hand sheets would do and would then only cost pennies to make.  But hey ho, no dummy and no room so I can't have a play at that.

Last night I sat and read that book I had delivered yesterday.  Very interesting, although there were only a couple of points that I hadn't already known about from other sources.  But considering it was written in 1921 it was a very good read and worth the £5 it cost.

Aimee has suddenly taken an interest in the Old Babylon and so I have bought her a book as an extra birthday present called "The Two Babylons" - One being the Old Testament Babylon and the second the Catholic Church.  Although Aimee is far from interested in Christianity, she does love to investigate the old heathen and pagan religions and how the Catholic Church incorporated all of those into their dogma.  I'm still figuring out what to buy her for her proper present.  The older they get the harder it is to find things they really want.

Charlie came yesterday to do a couple of jobs for me.  One being raising my microwave and fridge freezer up a bit so that I can get something under them to clean.  I so hate hidden dirt and dust.  It freaks me out thinking of all the germs laying hidden under appliances.  He is going to do the washing machine and cooker sometime next week.

I used to be able to just drag those appliances out to clean under and behind but I'm so bloody week now, I can't even lift my microwave up to clean under, although it is a big and heavy one.

It's going to be another lazy day for me, doing a bit of reading, maybe sewing, and playing on Youtube and Twitter me thinks.

I'm just having a quick rest before going to make some lunch.

Saw the doc and survived. He's referred me to a specialist so no idea how long getting an appointment with them will take. In the meantime he's given me some meds which I picked up this morning and also sent me for x-rays. I decided to get it over and done with before I chickened out so went from the pharmacy to the hospital to have those done. Of course the only parking space was in the furthest car park from the x-ray department.

Lunch now and then I need to tackle my gas and electricity supplier. What fun! lol

So pleased you got that particular Doctor's appointment over and done with.  Funnily enough I always come out of the Dentist thinking It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I hope that was your thoughts as well.

As for parking spaces, you were lucky to find one at all.  Our two hospital car parks are always chockablock full.

I never did start on that petticoat I said I was going to, instead I have started with something smaller.  A pair of 18th Century pockets.  I already had some really pretty material and enough for those.

Normally when I take the dog for a walk I wear a 3 pocket servers apron to put my phone, keys and dogs bags etc in.  But I thought if I am going to make a petticoat and skirts 1700s style I might as well make the pockets as well to hold all that crap.

Hopefully they will end up looking something like these 18th Century Pockets  - I will make a blog post and piccies of them when I have finished.

I had to go to the chemist today to collect my script so looked in the second hand shops for a white or cream flat sheet to make a shift, but no luck. I'm trying to make things without paying out loads of money, as they either might not turn out right or I might make them and then never wear them, so it would be a waste of money to buy new.

Good idea. No point forking out a fortune if you're just experimenting. I do like lots of pockets. Saves lugging around a bag all the time.

You're right. It's never as bad as I anticipate. Funny how knowing that never helps the next time though. lol

Didn't get around to the gas and electricity supplier yesterday so have just done that. At least I hope it's sorted. Getting my account to generate an online statement is a running battle. Grocery shop is done too so I think I might be lazy for a while. Visitors all next weekend and the annual family BBQ the next one so I'm hoping this one will be nice and peaceful.

We have an overcast day , with some blue spots here and there , and it's 14c , and calling for some rain

.Need it get to the pharmacy today , and drop in for groceries as usual, this will provide me with my much needed walk  .  Hopefully some laundry later .... maybe .

Elaine; wow, that sounds like a bad back situation ,  thanks for explaining , I feel for you  hug
All you can do is cope day by day , don't blame you for opting out of the surgery .

My son claims to have his situation in hand , all done with exercise and diet so he believes , but eventually it will catch up with him my doctor says , the spine will stiffen slowly  , hope he doe not go overboard on the exercise  ,
My back is sure acting up , had one other bad bout much like this while under a lot of stress, but it subsided , this time it's much worse  , pain , pain  , bet xray's are coming up soon to do further checks

Sandy;  you are so ambitious , good luck with whatever you are creating there , pockets and all   , guess they will come in handy alright on your walks with the doggy .
I know nothing of the* two Babylon's *, but it's history I guess . People want to believe in something , what ever it might be .... interesting if nothing else .  Long time ago , some folks worshipped the Sun, it was God .  Well now ......not so far fetched in a way ...lol without the sun , there  would be no life on earth , and when she finally burns out , we will no longer exist .  Earth is situated in the * Goldy Lock * zone , and we have found no other proof of life any place else . how lucky can we get , we live on this  beautiful pale blue  dot in the visible Universe  ,  we are but a dot , no one should ever forget that .

Whisper:    glad that Dr visit is over for now ,  it never pays to think and worry ahead of time . but we all do ... lol .  Good luck with the Electricity matter getting straightened out  . I need to tackle my Internet provider charges next month , they are getting higher and higher .grrrrrrrrr  Have a nice BBQ with family ...... hope  your wishes come true dance ...... I could write a book  myself .!!

It's almost noon on Saturday here.
Welcome Crystal!
Sandy I hope you had a great time getting out & about♥️
I was up all night making proper croissant dough. Next time I think I'll use one the quick and easy methods LOL
I don't eat them myself but Roomie loves them. He usually buys a box on the weekends but those are just the WalMart kind. I think these that I made are quite a bit better but I think I can get away with using an easier recipe, sacrificing some fluffiness.
My cat is going insane right now, howling at me! It's started raining quite heavily but that doesn't usually bother her. Hmmm I better go tend to the master LOL
Have an amazing weekend everyone! Thank you so much for all the encouragement to remain a non-smoker ♥️

Just a quick drop in today , did finally make it out for my daily walk and errand running . Sun is out after the rain yesterday it has refreshed the grass .

Elaine:  sound like you had a busy night with making that dough for Roomies croissant's , yup , try the easier way maybe , save you some hard work  .  I love them , but try not to eat them either , I need to cut back on a lot of things I think, to help my arthritis been reading up on it .

Hello Chrystal !!   Hope everyone has a great weekend .

You totally spoil that flat mate of yours Elaine.  I hope he is aware of how lucky he is.

I can't do any more sewing at the moment until some tape I ordered from Amazon arrives in the post.  I also much get hold of some material for other projects.  It looks like I might have to buy new after all, but I have seen that if one buys that through Amazon the places that deal with them do sell it a lot cheaper than in their actual shops.

I had Aimee's company again yesterday for a few hours.  Which was nice.  Wrote a couple of longish blog posts.  Watched a live video of the 20 odd thousand people gathered up in Westminster for the Free Tommy speached.  Watched a couple of tv progs I had saved and did some reading.

Apart from that, yesterday for me was a pretty nothing much doing day.  It was a dull day weather wise anyway, so didn't mind at all staying in all day.

Another lovely, sunny day here so far. I have a few chores to do but then I really should get away from the computer and outdoors. You never know how long the warm weather will last here. We do seem to actually be getting a summer of sorts this year though. This is the second week that's been mostly warm and sunny.

The new neighbours are building a fence and it was very noisy yesterday so I think I'll escape from it today.

Morning. Smile Did some cleaning downstairs early before it got too hot. Just catching up on boards before I head out. A few errands to run and then I'll go and visit my brother. Slightly cooler today but still warm enough to sit out if it stays sunny.

My insides have been messing me about again this last two days.  I'm not happy about it as I only managed to get a handful of weeks free of discomfort.  I'm hoping this is just a little glitch and doesn't get worse.

Charlie popped in a short while ago for a quick cuppa.  Apart from that this is going to be an absolute nothing day.

I'm watching videos and thinking about getting the sewing machine out this afternoon to finish off those 1700s pockets.  The tape that I need for them came through the door late yesterday afternoon.

I've quickly shoved some washing in or I would run out of knickers.

Now I'm going to get off of here and do some reading.
