I have to admit that I have been very lazy since moving into this flat regarding making it more of a home.

This week I have made a start on making the bathroom look more like I care.

I'm still waiting to swap my mauve towels with Sarah for the red ones.

Before and after photos.

BEFORE

AFTER

Charlie obviously put the shelf and cabinet up, but as for the rest it's just bits that I already had around the house and packed under the bed.

The mirror on the windowsill I found in the communal sharing area and grabbed that quick.

The picture on the wall is an old birthday card put in an old frame I already had.

The flowered box in the shelf holds the dog pee pads.

Looks good Sandy and that cabinet and shelf make great use of the limited space you have.

Looking good Sandy Smile I do like that cupboard and shelve too.

I wish I new how to hang shelves on my wall in the laundry. These walls are not brick but plasterboard so completely different to work with.

Yeah, you have to get those specific screws/bolts whereby it sort of opens up like a butterfly in the back as it goes in.

You only have to ask the chap at the hardware store what you would need.  It's no harder putting shelves up on a plasterboard wall as long as one uses the right screw thingies.

Yeah you need plasterboard plugs. We once lived in a timber framed house where all the walls were like that. If it was something heavy we needed to hang we had to find the wall studs and use those.

I too have a stud wall between my kitchen and bathroom.  I want to do something with that wall but have been too lazy to go to the hardware shop in Christchurch to get the right bolts.
I might just ask Charlie to do it for me once I have decided what I want.

I haven't gotten around to planning how to improve the kitchen yet.
